At Salisbury Highway Veterinary Surgery (SHVS) we employ a method of consultation which increases the contact time with the staff at the surgery. This enables us to give your pet the best possible care when he/she visits. It also ensures that you (a caring pet owner) are fully aware of the diseases we are able to effectively prevent, for example Parvovirus, Heartworm or Cat Flu, and can advise and implement appropriate preventative measures for you.

The surgery has a digital x-ray machine. This machine allows us to take better quality diagnostic radiographs in a shorter amount of time, making the procedure less stressful for your pet.

The surgery is also equipped with state of the art laboratory equipment so many blood test results are available on the same day. Other equipment includes two anaesthetic machines, anaesthetic monitoring devices (including a blood pressure monitor, and pulse oximeter), an IM3 dental system and 2 ultrasonic scalers, intravenous fluid pumps and a sonic instrument cleaner. This equipment, and others, ensures your pet receives the best possible care when he/she needs to stay with us for treatment.
