Like others commenting here we have taken our pets to Starry for a very long time because she has been singularly excellent. My experience is that all vets like and care about animals. However, only a few like Starry, are articulate and passionate advocates for our pets who are far more concerned about the welfare of the animals than the possible hurt feelings of pet owners. **AND PLEASE NOTE** On a couple of occasions over the 20 or so years Starry has politely but firmly let us know if we have ever done or failed to do something that has adversely affected our dogs.
"Trust is earned, not given" and Dr Allen earned our trust many times over as she walks with us the path of pet owner ship. From your regular vaccinations, micro chipping and desexing to knee surgery, cancer treatment and kidney disease, Dr Allen is there for our animals (and us-the usually stressed out owners). Despite emergency calls in the middle of the night or on weekends we never felt fobbed off or that we in any way inconvenience her. We know she missed many family get togethers because she was sitting up all night caring for a very sick animal. We value her advice on all things animal and appreciate the continued care she gives to all our pets. We could not have picked a better family vet.
